Lactation support

Feeding is the part nobody warns you is hard.

Lactation support for the point where you actually need it — not a pamphlet handed to you on the way out of the hospital.

Lactation support

No question is too small to ask.

What this is

Help at the point you need it.

Feeding is the thing everyone assumes will be natural, and for a lot of parents it isn't — not at first, and sometimes not for a while.

You don't have to be at breaking point to ask. The question you've been carrying for three weeks is usually easier to answer than the one you ask after a month of it.

And if feeding isn't going the way you hoped, that's a conversation, not a failure.

Feeding, alongside everything else

It's one part of a week that's already full.

Feeding rarely happens in isolation. You're also healing, also not sleeping, and also being asked to make decisions you didn't expect to have to make.

So lactation support sits alongside the rest of the doula work — the swaddling, the help so you can sleep while you recover, the help for dad, the whole family adjusting to the new normal.

You don't have to separate the pieces. Tell me what's hardest and we'll start there.

The first step

Start with a hello.

You don't have to know what you need yet. How old your baby is and what's hardest — one sentence is enough.
